10 Kicking Tips

Please see below, graphics for my new DVD cover, for the DVD: 10 Kicking Tips

10 Kicking Tips is available on the BunkaiJutsu website at:   http://bunkaijutsu.com/store/

Okinawan Karate

This looks very impressive.  I would like to learn some of the original Okinawan Karate Bunkai as show in the DVD's advertised here.

Enpi Kata Bunkai

Here's some of Enpi's kata bunkai.  The video has a nice feel to it with the music playing whilst the bunkai is displayed.

Who The F*** You Looking At ?

This article looks at affects of adrenalin, when confronted with a hostile assailant intent on picking a fight with you.   http://bunkaijutsu.com/2011/01/18/who-the-f-you-looking-at-part-1/

Team Kata Bunkai for Unsu

Here's another team kata bunkai event for Unsu.  Again, a very good display of skill, but I don't think that many of those karate bunkai would really work in a street self defense situation.  Great to watch though.

Team Kata Bunkai

I don't think that these Kata bunkai competitions give the most realistic display of Karate bunkai, but I still like to see them for the speed, accuracy and co-ordination.

Turning To The Dark Side And Mama Bear!

OK, its a bit of a bizarre title, but bear with me.  Most martial artists know that martial arts are supposed be a form of self development ("Do").  Yet we train to train to hurt, maim and possible kill other human beings!  How do we reconcile training to hurt others, with becoming better people.  Check out the link below and find out.   http://bunkaijutsu.com/2011/01/08/turning-to-the-dark-side-and-mama-bear/

DVD Endorsment By Shihan Kousaku Yokota, 8th Dan Shotokan Karate

I have recently been honored to receive the following endorsement by Shihan Yokota (8th Dan) for my DVD "Inside Bassai Dai":-

"Over the holidays I had a very pleasant experience watching one Shotokan bunkai DVD. It is called Inside Bassai Dai created by Sensei Charlie Wildish, UK. I found the bunkai in it to be realistic and easy to learn. He demonstrates how some of the techniques are applied. I was particularly pleased to see the application for double uchi uke (inside forearm blocks). He interprets them as a uke followed by a uraken".

To find out more about this the DVD and this endorsement, please visit our main Bunkai website.

How To Put The "Whip" Into A Linear Punch

Usually I focus on practical kata bunkai (application to movements of the katas).  However, in the video below I focus more on technique.  In particular, so many people doing Karate/TKD tend to punch in a stiff manner.  It was never supposed to be like that.  However, few people seem to be able to effectively explain to the lay person, how exactly do you get that "whipping" feeling into your linear punches.  Well check out the video below to find out:-

To see the full article with extra explanations, please visit the main Bunkai website.

If however you feel that you can already do this and you are more interested in practical bunkai than in improving techniques, then please visit our Youtube Bunkai channel.
